Teaching and Learning in Complex Contexts: Imagining a Significant Future in Refugee Education
March 18-20, 2018
This Symposium gathers researchers, students, educators, staff and community members to: share current research in emergency education, imagine new possibilities for the future, and plan future concrete actions.
The overall goal aspires to establish an overview and details of our collective projects on refugee education and to map out relevant action plans.
An action plan, for example, may include a dissemination project involving local media, such as The Tyee magazine, UBC online posted briefs, or a special journal proposal.
Planned sessions will include presentations of work and issues (research, pedagogy and activism) undertaken by participants. All participants will have opportunities to share their work or reflection in either whole group or small group dialogue sessions.
We hope you are able to attend. There is no cost but registration is required to invitees.
