Participants in the Mathematics Education program will gain experience in and subject expertise and knowledge of the teaching of mathematics at the school level. The program is open to teachers and professionals in related areas.

  • EDCP 342 d* - Curriculum and Pedagogy in Mathematics: Secondary *Pre-requisite: A completed concentration in mathematics or permission of the head
  • EDCP 340 - Curriculum and Pedagogy in Mathematics: Elementary and Middle Years (2)
  • EDCP 343* - Mathematics Teaching: Problem Solving (3)*Pre–requisite: One of MAED 300, MAED 314, MAED 320
  • EDCP 344* - Mathematics Education: Geometry and Measurement (3) *Pre–requisite: One of EDCP 340, EDCP 341, EDCP 342
  • EDCP 440 - Topics in the Curriculum and Pedagogy in Mathematics: Secondary (3)
  • EDCP 441 d* - Assessment in Mathematics Education*Pre–requisite: One of EDCP 340, EDCP 341, EDCP 342
  • EDCP 442 - Mathematics History for Teachers (3)

Elective Courses (18 Credits)

  • Approved 300/400-level courses in the Faculties of Arts, Education and/or Mathematics from a related field of study (12 credits)
  • Other 300/400-level electives (6 credits)
