As Learning Design Manager, Teacher Education, Yvonne supports the design of K-12 learning experiences and the modelling of pedagogies in Teacher Education (BEd) courses.
In this role, Yvonne is available to co-plan and co-teach with instructors in the BEd program, consult on resources to support digital tech integration and support teacher candidates with designing learning experiences in K-12 contexts. To that end, Yvonne provides student workshops and in-class seminars and engages in one on one coaching and maintaining an online resource site, the Scarfe Digital Sandbox. As a classroom teacher in the Surrey School District for over 25 years, a faculty advisor and instructor in the BEd program (2013 – 2016) and a graduate of the Master of Educational Technology Program (2010), Yvonne enjoys the opportunity to share her experiences and expertise in pedagogical practices related to learning design including effective integration of digital technologies.
